The Qatar Finance and Business Academy, in collaboration with Qatar Development Bank (QDB), has organized a training program in venture capital investments from June 5-8, 2023. 

The program comes within the framework of keenness to help entrepreneurs and investors grow their abilities, improve their expertise, and gain new and comprehensive skills in the field of venture capital investing. 

The training program aims to familiarize venture capitalists and other traders and businessmen interested in entering this field with the important and basic principles that help them achieve their own goals, as well as to help them understand the decision-making process that venture capitalists go through when identifying sources, selecting Startups, and supporting them after investment. 

This is in addition to educating entrepreneurs interested in this sort of investment on how to secure the appropriate funds and assisting them in the development and expansion of their businesses. 

The training program, for its part, included intense educational workshops that lasted four days and featured a discussion group of experts and pioneering investors in the field of venture capital investment, during which a number of main themes were covered, including: an overview of venture capital investments, sourcing quality deal flow and building investment criteria for the venture capitalist and investment portfolio strategy, evaluating startups and due diligence, structuring deals, venture capital investment legal documentation, maintaining solid governance, and the role of the venture capitalist in startups. 

In addition, the program provided participants with a robust educational experience that included simulation models, case studies, and best practices in venture capital investment. Upon completion of the training program, participants received a certificate of completion.
