In partnership with Qatar Central Bank Qatar Finance and Business Academy conclude its 2nd edition of "Future Assets 2023"

Qatar Finance and Business Academy has concluded the second edition of its summer program " Future Assets", which was held from August 13-17, 2023.The program was organized in partnership with Qatar Central Bank, and was sponsored by Qatar Financial Center, Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar National Bank, and in cooperation with Qatar Stock Exchange.It is also designed to expand financial culture and knowledge and raise students' awareness of basic principles and concepts in the financial and banking sectors, resulting in the graduation of qualified and specialized cadres in the future, ensuring a real and qualitative addition to the labor market in the State of Qatar.Ms. Ibtesam Mohammed Al-Jahmai, CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy, stated: "The Future Assets Program was organized in accordance with the Academy's goals of raising awareness of the country’s financial sector and developing human capabilities. The second edition of the program was successful in introducing students to various fields in the financial sector, educating and encouraging them to determine their future career plans, and urging them to understand finance and its labor market needs.”“All of this was accomplished through interactive workshops and field visits in which students learned about the nature of the work and operations of financial institutions in the country in a clear, practical, and interactive manner that increased their knowledge and ability to choose their academic paths.”The summer program included theoretical and interactive workshops as well as visits to some of the country's most prominent financial institutions.In addition, a workshop on career planning was organized, during which the participants received guidance and advice to assist them in determining the appropriate financial disciplines they are interested in, and in writing their resumes.33 male and female students were chosen from a pool of 200 applicants to participate in the program this year. They received a certificate of participation upon the completion of the program certifying that they had completed 25 hours of training.It should be mentioned that the first edition of the "Future Assets" was launched in 2022. It aimed on achieving several goals, including broadening students' knowledge and providing them with the opportunity to learn about the nature of different professions in all financial sectors in the country, whether banks or financial services companies, stock exchange, and so on, and to assess the suitability of their skills and abilities with these professions. Therefore, allowing them to plan ideally for their academic and professional paths in the future.
