Qatar Finance & Business Academy Signs Cooperation Agreement with Education Above All Foundation

Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Education Above All Foundation (EAA) to provide educational opportunities to students from low-income families in Qatar. Through the Qatar Scholarship Programme, scholarships will be provided to r both male and female students, enabling them to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at QFBA-Northumbria University. 

The agreement was signed by Mr. Khalifa Al-Salahi Al-Yafei, CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy, and Mr. Talal Al-Hothal, the Director of Al Fakhoora Programme of the Education Above All Foundation. 

The agreement reflects QFBA's commitment to strengthen community partnership with various state institutions, and increasing enrollment. The agreement also comes within the framework of providing Education Above All for 500 scholarships in Qatar in cooperation with the General Directorate of Endowments in Qatar. 

Mr. Khalifa Al-Salahi Al-Yafei, CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy, expressed his delight at the signing of the agreement, stating that it represents QFBA’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with various state institutions and invest in human capabilities. He emphasized the Academy’s commitment to providing f support to financially troubled students who possess the necessary skills and qualities to succeed academically but faced barriers hindering them from continuing their education.  

Al-Hothal, Al Fakhoora’s Director highlighted the significance of this partnership in enabling students to pursue higher education and obtain a high-quality education, while also contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and f the Qatar National Vision 2030. He also expressed his gratitude to the General Directorate of Endowments for its support in providing opportunities for deserving youth to pursue successful professions and contribute to the development of their communities. 

Both QFBA and EAA will provide scholarships to a selected number of students who meet specific criteria to complete their university studies at QFBA-Northumbria University. The duration of the scholarship will depend on the individual student’s study plans. 

This partnership between QFBA and EAA represents a significant step towards empowering Qatar's low-income students and promoting access to quality education.
