QFBA Concludes Its Participation as a Partner at Web Summit Qatar 2026
Qatar Finance and Business Academy has concluded its participation as a partner at Web Summit Qatar 2026, one of the world’s leading events in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Throughout the summit, the Academy maintained an active presence, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem and advancing the development of a knowledge-based economy. QFBA’s participation formed part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with international institutions, entrepreneurs, and technology companies. It also aimed to support the development of future skills and empower startups by providing them with access to global platforms where they can connect with industry leaders and showcase their innovations. In addition, the Academy’s presence highlighted its role in bridging education and professional training with the rapidly evolving needs of the labor market across the finance, business, and technology sectors. During the summit, the QFBA booth attracted notable engagement from visitors, entrepreneurs, and investors, serving as an interactive space for networking, knowledge exchange, and showcasing initiatives that contribute to strengthening the innovation ecosystem. The booth also hosted four startups that won the "Startup Pitch competition", providing them with the opportunity to present their ventures and innovative solutions to a global audience of investors and experts in technology and entrepreneurship. This initiative was organized in collaboration with Northumbria University, which featured the winning startups as promising examples of entrepreneurial innovation. As part of the summit’s knowledge program, Dr. Khalifa Al-Salahi Al-Yafei, CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy, participated in a session titled "How Qatar Is Engineering a Knowledge-Driven Economy." During the discussion, he highlighted national efforts to develop human capital, foster innovation, and strengthen the role of education and training in supporting the transition toward a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
