    Description of role

    Responsible for conducting examinations of licensees and ensuring production of comprehensive, timely, accurate and well-formatted reports.

    Core technical skills

    • Ability to supervise an examination team and coordinate data gathering activities
    • Knowledge of the implications of an inappropriate accounting or reporting policy
    • Knowledge of the concepts of consolidated financial statements, ‘associates’ accounting and joint ventures (SPVs) and similar reporting practices
    • Ability to perform trend analysis and draw conclusions based upon the analysis
    • Knowledge of how IT systems and core-banking applications enable financial reporting process
    • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    • Understanding of chart of accounts and double entry system

    Qualification and/ or certification

    • QFSQF Level 3
    • CA / CPA / ACCA / CFA or equivalent qualifications would be useful
    • Relevant experience
