    Description of role

    Responsible for analysing financial statements being submitted to the regulator and identifying risk exposure of the supervised financial institutions.

    Core technical skills

    • Knowledge of trends in the insurance sector and within individuals financial institutions
    • Ability to understand financial reports and underlying accounting policies
    • Ability to understand relationships between different components balance sheet and income statement
    • Ability to interpret financial results based on an understanding of the key factors or business drivers impacting results
    • Fully conversant with the laws, regulations and reporting requirements by institutions
    • Ability to interpret ratios, trends, analysis and other reports

    Qualification and/ or certification

    • QFSQF Level 3
    • CA / ACCA / CPA / CFA or equivalent qualifications would be useful
    • Relevant experience
