    Description of role

    Responsible to monitoring the licensees of risks arising from financial crime and set the agenda for enhanced AML/CTF supervision of them. Also, continuous process of effective implementation of the AML / CTF law and rules among others.

    Core technical skills

    • Knowledge of Qatar financial services and AML laws and related laws and regulations
    • Knowledge of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards
    • Ability to critically evaluate with scepticism information provided by the knowledge of relevant laws and principles and standards of regulation and supervision
    • Ability to supervise examinations investigations and enforcement actions
    • Ability to develop, implement and communicate AML/CFT policies within QFCRA and its licensees
    • Ability to provide, interpret, analyse and advice on AML/CTF requirements to all licensees or to the relevant government, police and criminal authority
    • Expertise in designing, validating efficiency and overseeing procedural controls to monitor AML - CFT risks
    • Ability to advise on AML risk assessment frameworks, sanctions process, SRT reporting, PEPs and DNFBs

    • QFSQF Level 3
    • ACAMS or equivalent
    • Relevant experience
