Future Assets

About the Program:

Future Assets program is a summer enrichment program designed by QFBA for high school students and recent high school graduates who are Qataris and children of Qatari mothers.

The program is designed with other stakeholders from the banking and finance industry, to ensure students experiential learning when making career choices.

The program’s main objectives are:

To provide a foundational understanding of finance, banking and business concepts.
To develop practical skills through interactive learning methods.
To expose students to real-world financial environments and professionals.
To encourage critical thinking about ethical issues in finance.
To foster a network of peers and professionals for future opportunities.

Program's Mission:

Our main goal is to ensure students’ theoretical and practical learning to help them make their desired career choices in the banking and finance industry.

In its first edition in 2022, we were delighted to train 25 participants who were selected among over 100 applicants.

Program Overview

The program aims to introduce students to the different careers in finance and the financial sector in Qatar by conducting theoretical and interactive workshops on-campus and by visiting a selection of professional organizations in the financial sector.

In addition to gaining knowledge and experiential learning, the program provides students with the following benefits:

A certificate of participation indicating that it was equivalent to 40 hours of volunteering upon the completion of the program
Broaden students’ knowledge about the financial sector and its diverse career opportunities
Assist students in choosing their university major that suit their interests and capabilities
Build students’ CV through volunteering and gaining knowledge

Day 3: Qbic Visit
Day 4: Qatar Stock Market Simulation
Day 5: Specialization Path Presentation + Resume Building Exercise
Day 6 & 7: Entrepreneurship Day
Day 8 & 9: Ethics in Finance Debate
Day 10: Closing Ceremony
