This 3-day masterclass offers a comprehensive introduction to Islamic banking, covering its principles, products, and regulatory frameworks. Participants will explore key Islamic financial instruments such as Murabaha, Ijarah, Mudarabah, Musharakah, and Sukuk, understanding their structures, applications, and compliance requirements. Course objectives:

Trainer’s Profile:

Dr. Muna Al-Mannai has extensive experience in overseeing capital markets regulation, corporate governance, and financial supervision. She holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from Durham University, where her research focused on investors' rights, transparency, and information in equity-based Islamic finance.

She has held senior roles overseeing market surveillance, investor protection, corporate restructuring, and enforcement. Her work spans both conventional and Islamic finance. As a member of the National Corporate Governance Committee, she helped develop the Corporate Governance Code.

Currently, she is an adjunct lecturer and trainer, specializing in financial analysis, corporate governance, and Islamic finance. She delivers training courses on Islamic banking, Shari’ah-compliant financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
