The standard describes the system within which projects operate, including governance, potential functionality, the project environment, and considerations for the relationship between project management and product management. Eventually, being PMP certified demonstrates that you have the experience, education, and competence to lead and direct projects.

Requirements

  1. Individuals with a bachelor’s degree must be able to provide documentation proving at least 4,500 hours of experience in projects (3 years).
  2. Individuals with a high school diploma must be able to provide documentation proving at least 7,500 hours of experience in projects (5 years).
