This short "active and open learning style" course explores the intersection of leadership principles and the rapidly evolving digital landscape revolutionized by technologies such as AI, Big Data, Cyber Security and IOT. The course offers current and future managers and leaders the opportunity to develop their management and leadership knowledge, skills, and strategies to lead successful digital transformations and innovations. The course adopts a reflective practice approach to develop soft and digital leadership skills and behaviours through self-awareness and self-analysis. Participants’ learning will be enriched through real world case studies of successful digital leadership as well as from lessons learned from failures and setbacks. This learning will enable participants to apply best practices in their personal, professional, and organisational contexts.

A highly accomplished academic leader with a Doctoral qualification, bringing over 25 years of proven expertise in driving excellence in higher education teaching and research. His extensive experience encompasses strategic planning, faculty development, and cultivating a culture of research and innovation, ultimately enhancing the quality of student learning and experience. As the founding Dean of Northumbria University London Campus, Dr. Jamal has successfully developed and achieved strategic goals, articulating an inspiring vision for the faculty in alignment with the institution's mission and values.
