    Description of role

    Responsible for day-to-day AML/CTF and compliance regulations. Maintain, update, and where appropriate establish AML policies and procedures and assessment techniques for the bank.

    Core skills

    • Ability to develop monitoring tools to examine and report variance and abnormal or suspicious instances of activity
    • Ability to develop and maintain policies and procedures in relation to AML / CTF
    • Knowledge of CDD and EDD processes, tools and systems
    • Understanding of sanctions strategies and processes
    • Knowledge of designing and implementing a risk assessment framework for all customer interactions
    • Understanding of suspicious transaction reporting and processes for investigating it

    Qualification and/ or certification

    • QFSQF Level 3
    • QFMA CISI (mandatory)
      • International Introduction to Securities and Investment
      • QFMA Rules and Regulation
      • International Introduction Award
      • Certificate in Combatting Financial Crime
      • Investment Operations Certificate
      • Certificate in Global Financial Compliance
    • Professional certification desirable (e.g. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Examination)
    • Relevant experience

    • Understanding of risk management

    • Ability to identify changes to laws and regulations or industry guidance to ensure that management are aware of developing regulatory obligations in respect of the prevention of AML / CTF
    • Knowledge of monitoring developments with FATF recommendations and sanctions regimes
