Description of role

Responsible for the provision of settlement activities around the transfer of securities from the seller to the buyer and the transfer of funds from the buyer to the seller.

Core skills

Knowledge of the complete process of transactions processing (including fixed income, equity, money market and foreign exchange), the types of front-end systems and trade databases
Ability to carry out deals settlement for various financial products and instruments through different types of domestic and international payment systems, taking into account netting arrangements with counterparty
Knowledge of the types of settlement risks, its impact on trading and investment process
Ability to provide on-going client management through quality and customer-oriented service to the front office

Qualification and/ or certification

QFSQF Level 2
Relevant experience

Industry knowledge

Knowledge of basic features and characteristics of Sharia compliant asset management products and investment concepts suitable for asset management clients

Regulatory compliance of role

Knowledge of QFMA and other relevant laws and regulations governing asset management activities of regulated financial institutions
