Description of role

Responsible for conducting data analysis on global and regional companies, factors affecting the market, providing clients with industry-specific and in-depth research and analysis on diversified industries

Core skills

Knowledge of different types and uses of research and reports
Ability to identify sources of information to gather key information and analyse the credibility of information (e.g. news sources, government resources and statistics, broker research and distributor information and regulatory resources)
Ability to identify trends and developments in capital markets industry
Ability to apply sector specific knowledge to drive analysis and identify trends
Ability to analyse key information gathered from credible sources and develop financial models and up to date investment reports
Ability to assess key factors that influence markets and sectors such as responses to changes and uncertainty, volume, liquidity, and nature of trading activity in domestic and overseas markets etc.
Ability to analyse Sharia compliant vs. prohibited activities of companies

Qualification and/ or certification

QFSQF Level 3
Professional certification desirable (e.g. CFA)
Relevant experience

Industry knowledge

Knowledge of Sharia compliant capital markets products
Understand global and local market trends

Regulatory compliance of role

Ability to assess the impact of new rules and regulations on capital markets industry
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, rules and codes of conduct
