Description of role

Responsible for licensing data distributors to disseminate market data in accordance with the rules and policies of the exchange and for developing information based products and services.

Core skills

Knowledge of the different kinds of information provided by the exchange to distributors
Knowledge of the licensing process for distributors of the exchange’s information
Knowledge of how the exchange generates revenue from the distribution of information
Ability to develop and promote information based products and services in order to grow revenue
Ability to research and analyse market data revenue across products, clients and user segments and project future revenue
Ability to perform negotiations and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients
Ability to monitor the compliance of licensed distributors with the exchange’s policies
Ability to perform external audits on data distributors
Ability to generate reports and raise invoices with support of finance team

Qualification and/ or certification

QFSQF level 2

Relevant experience

Industry knowledge

Knowledge of the function of the exchange, Islamic financial products and market participants

Regulatory compliance of role

Knowledge of the exchange’s rules and policies regarding data distribution
